Hello and welcome!

I have a fun holiday card for you today made with goodies from My Favorite Things. I just love these little deer and the whole "Deer Friends" set from MFT, especially the cute deer.

This card will also be my entry to the 2019 MFT Clean and Simple Superstar Contest.

This is a annual contest held by MFT and I am always amazed at the talented cardmakers who enter!
They have 3 categories: Clean and Simple Genius, Coloring Virtuoso, & Innovation Master. Click on those links to go see all the entries!

I love looking at all the entries and seeing how creative everyone is and I always get inspired by the gorgeous designs. They pick 15 winners and one random winner for $$$ to spend in the MFT store. I am no superstar by any means, but the random draw is open to all entries so I decided to go for it!

For my card, I stamped the deer and antlers in brown ink, then die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with Zig Clean Color markers.

Next I took some masking paper and masked off toward the bottom so I could ink above it with a blender brush. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough.

I added the deer and antlers to the card, then stamped the sentiment in matching brown ink. Next, I added some tiny snowflake sequins that I picked up at Target a couple of years ago and a little red dot of color to the middle deer's nose! (He's Rudolf, I guess you figured that one out!)

To finish my card I rounded 2 of the corners of the card.
