Hello and welcome!
I've been on a big birthday card kick today and I have one last card for you.
This card is very similar to one I made HERE.
Recently Leisure Arts send their 36 pack of dual ended watercolor markers to the Joy Clair design team and I have had a lot of fun playing with them. I've used them a lot for the smooshing technique. (Scribbling them on my media mat and spraying them and the watercolor paper with water, then smooshing the paper into the ink. It creates a beautiful splattered look on your watercolor paper.)
But for this card I decided to just roughly scribble them on a piece of card stock - very rough looking with stripes of color not blended at all. I put them down in rainbow order and then cut them with the dotted flower border die from Poppy Stamps. Below you can see the rough scribbles on the left.
I cut a 2nd border from black to help define the die cut, then added it to a card base at an angle.
Next I added sentiments from Joy Clair's "Life's a Breeze" stamp set.
Here are a few more pictures of my card:
I added clear droplets from The Stamp Market to the flower centers. You can see them up close below:
I have really enjoyed using these markers - they are very budget friendly and can be used in a wide variety of ways. My favorite is using them for watercolored backgrounds for my cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
