Hello and welcome!
Today starts a brand new Color Week challenge at Just Us Girls Challenge, hosted by Sue she picked:
Those are some beautiful colors!!! I decided to play with these colors using alcohol inks!

For my card, I started with some Yupo paper and alcohol inks in the challenge colors and made a large piece so I could cut pieces from it for my card. The die set I used is called "Thanks with Floral Accents" by Sizzix (not longer available) that gifted to me by a dear friend. You can use any small flower die and sentiment you have to recreate this look.
After cutting the flowers and leaf springs, I added 2 flowers together with a metal brad then arranged them on the card front and stamped the sentiment from a Happy Little Stampers set. I cut two thin strips of the colored Yupo paper and added them to the top and bottom of the sentiment and added glitter Nuvo drops. Here's a closer view:
I can't wait to see what you create! Stop by and see what our fab guest designer, and the whole design team have created to inspire you!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the thin lines framing in your flowers. Remember when brads were so popular? I still have a ton in every color of the rainbow! Great card Angie!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card with the little floral sprigs and framing! Love it!

So pretty! Love the tiny strips too
ReplyDeleteSimple but stunning Angie. Great results with the AI's and I too love the thin strips to showcase those pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!!! The alcohol inks and Yupo yielded such beautiful results on those die cut pieces. Love your creativity in creating this beauty!
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job making your alcohol panel in those colors without it becoming muddy, Angie. Framing the sentiment and flowers with the strips really brings the focus to them.
