Hello and welcome!
Today is a special day as the Joy Clair Color by Faith new release is out! Be sure to stop by the blog to see all the new sets and some wonderful inspiration from the whole design team!
For my projects, I used the brand new Proverbs 31 stamp set. Here's a look at it:
Here's a peek at my first project:
Here's a peek at my first project:
I started by making a cover for my new 18 month planner. It was just a boring navy blue plastic covered plain planner, so I jazzed it up with some beautiful heart foiled card stock from Bazzill. Then I took some blue Bazzill card stock and stamped the floral image all over it and colored it in with Zig Clean Color markers and added the sentiment: "She is covered in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." How fitting for a planner cover?
Then I took the woman image and masked her off to stamp the same floral pattern stamp on her shirt.
After coloring her, I cut her out and added her to the bottom right of my cover. I heat embossed the "Proverbs 31" on black card stock and added it above her head. Lastly I added a mat for the blue flower panel and added gems to the flower centers. I used a strong adhesive because I will be handling this planner a lot and I want them to stay put!
Here's a closer look at my cover:
For my next project with this same stamp set, I used some gorgeous large plaid light pink Bazzill card stock. It's such a pretty pattern and I love the sturdiness of Bazzill card stock! I stamped a large piece of white card stock in very light beige ink the the rectangle stamp in the set to cover the whole piece. Then I cut out a circle from the pink plaid.
I used 2 circle dies to make a frame to put on the lightly stamped word background piece and put it on the woman that I had stamped, colored and cut out. I added the white piece to a pink plaid card base, then added Nuvo Jewel drops all around the frame. I also stamped the "Proverbs 31" on the pink, cut it out, popped it up and added Nuvo to the corners.
On the inside of the card I added the sentiment which is also stamped on that pretty plaid:
I had so much fun creating with this new Bible Journaling set. I wanted to show you that these Color by Faith sets are not just for Bible journaling but are also great for other projects.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my creations today and will hop over to the Joy Clair blog to check out all the wonderful new sets that came out today and yesterday!
