Art Journaling with Joy Clair Rise & Shine and God's Promises

Hello and welcome!

I'm here today with an art journal page made with the newest sets from Joy Clair's Color By Faith series

Joy Clair God's Promises

Here's how I made my page:

1)  I started with a blank page and stamped two sentiments, the sun and the roster on the page.

I also stamped a 2nd rooster and colored it with Zigs.  I added a strip of washi tape on the top.

2)  Next I took some yellow Distress ink and inked the background and then added a brick stencil to one side and inked in a dark burgundy color Distress Ink.

     

3)   I stamped clouds from God's Promises set directly onto the page and then some others on white paper.  I used my small Xyron sticker maker to make the extra white clouds into stickers and then placed them on my page.  I had meant to use them as masks before I inked the yellow.  That would have been another way to make the clouds stay white on the page.

 

4)  Next I inked some sun rays with a stencil in turquoise coming from the rooster and some browns around the edges of the page.  I also added black splatters with some black paint.

5)  Next I took a brown Zig marker and gave the rooster some ground to stand on and splashed lots of water drops on the whole page.
