Happy Little Stampers July Watercolor Challenge - opt Birthday

Hello and welcome!

I'm here today with my DT card for the June Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge!
Here's the optional twist - Birthday!  You don't have to do the twist, to enter, only if you want to!

For my card I watercolored a piece of card stock with Distress Inks and then cut a large rectangle out of it.  I used stamps from the Casual Fridays Somebunny stamp set and stamped them on the watercolored paper and also on white card stock.  I fussy cut the balloon, ears, belly and tail from the watercolored paper and paper pieced them onto the white one.  Then I cut the same rectangle dies from the front of the card so that I could attach the bunny image to the back of the inside of the the card.  The rectangle dies I used were 1) Pierced rectangles from MFT and 2) Avery Elle Pinked Edge dies.  Here's a closer view:

This card was so fun to make!  I love being able to see thru the front of the card!

On the left below the card is closed and on the right the card is opened.

Just Us Girls #447 Wild Card Week - ATG

Our host is Vicki and she has chosen Anything Goes!

We also have a special guest designer this month, Hannelie Bester - check out her amazing blog Desert Diva.  I'm such a huge fan of her work and so excited she will be designing here with us!

My CAS card was super fast to make.  All I did was take some beige card stock and stamped the large floral stamp from Hero Arts on the right side in Versafine Clair ink.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Altenew Birthday Greetings stamps set in white on black card stock, cut it down and added it to the bottom.  Lastly I added 5 Nuvo drops in the flower centers.  Done!

Hope you will find the time to join us at JUGS this week for our ATG challenge!

Can't wait to see what you create!

Joy Clair The Potter Jars of Clay Card

Hello and welcome!  I'm over on the Joy Clair Blog today with a card using some of the brand new release stamp sets:  The Potter and Broken Brick Background.  Here's a look at the stamps:

I stamped the sentiment then masked it off with a circle die and ink the top part of the card panel in Distress Inks in yellows and browns.

I removed the masks and then I stamped the jars of clay in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on the card and on a piece of post it note for a mask.  Then I used the brick stamp with the Versafine ink to stamp the bottow portion of the card panel.

I inked the bricks with Distress Inks in reds and browns.

I cut the panel down a little and then added some "Trust In God" washi tape on the bottom of the card base.  I cut the main panel down and adhered it to the card base.
Here's what it looked like at this point:

I colored the jars with various Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers until I was happy with the look.  I love how you can use both watercolors and alcohol markers with the amazing Versafine Clair ink and how crisp it stamps!

Dies R Us - You're Fintastic with Lawn Fawn goodies

Hello and welcome!  It's Angie here today with a fun fishy card using products from Lawn Fawn available in the Dies R Us store!

I used the brand new dies from Lawn Fawn, Stitched Wave Borders.  I love how you get 3 dies in this pack so you can really have a variety of wave patterns, especially if you use them to make a card that is 4.25" across.  This is because you can move the dies around and use different parts on the panels to add variety.  I used lots of different blue card stocks and cut them all then arranged them from dark to light on a card base.  Next I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends set in black ink at the top.

Then I took some white card stock and using the same Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends stamp set, I stamped lots of images then used the Lawn Fawn Fintastic Friends die set to cut them all out.  I colored them in kind of crazy colors with my Zig Clean Color markers, then added them to the card front.  Lastly I added some stamped bubbles directly on the card and then put Nuvo Jewel Drops in Sea Breeze on each of the bubbles.  (One tip, the drops will run together if they touch, so I did only one of each of the doubled up bubbles and let them dry before I added the second bubble.)

Here's a couple more pictures up closer so you can see the detail:

I really love the look of those dies, they really look like water waves!
