Just Us Girls Wild Card Week - Something Old, Something New

There a new challenge at Just Us Girls this week - Use something old and/or something new!
My something old-two Stampin Up stamp sets from 2002!  "Flaky Friends" and "Holiday Wishes".  I combine them with something new:  Some silver Nuvo Mousse with a new stencil from Hero Arts called "Deco Pattern".  After I made the background with the silver mouse, stencil and red card stock, I decided it was just to busy for the image so I cut two thin strips of it for each side of the black card panel and mounted the oval image in the center.  I colored selectively on the snowmen with only one color and added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the snowy little guys!
I hope you will play along with us this week!

Just a reminder: If you win Chic of the Week in any of our July challenges, you are in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of September.   How to play: Please copy and use our graphic on your post. You need to upload your new project [no back dating please] for this week's challenge to your online blog or to a public photo gallery. Leave a link that goes directly to your project in the Linky Tools form at the bottom of this post. . After you post to Linky Tools you may also leave a comment here. We ♥ love hearing what you think of our challenges! Deadline to be considered for the "Chic of the Week" is 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, August 3rd . The Linky Tools form will close at that time. 4. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Christmas Challenge this week. Flaky friends is one of my all time favourite SU Christmas stamp sets. You've done a stellar job of showcasing them in your card. I like that you've kept the colouring to just the red as it really draws in the red from the strips of stenciled card stock. The stenciling is beautiful too.
