I used the Altenew "Penned Rose" stamp set to do a little comparison of my watercoloring. I do struggle with watercoloring and need to practice a lot more. The card on the left (little more orange in color) was watercolored with Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush. The one on the right with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I seem to have a lot more trouble controlling the Kuretake and I need to practice more with them as several of the highlighted areas got covered with darker color even after going back to add more highlights...oh well, they say practice makes perfect. The Zigs are so much easier to control and blend really nicely. I used Arches French cold pressed watercolor paper since so many people recommended it - this was my first time to use that paper and I have to agree - it's the best for watercoloring for sure!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
