Mod Squad Challenge - Teacher's Pet!

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited to be hosting along with Joyce Erb,  a really fun challenge over at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog this week - "Teacher's Pet" (use a pet or animal on your creation)
It's sponsored by:
Kat stocks the products that she loves and uses as well as what her customers request.  If you don't see it in her store, feel free to contact her.  She is happy to do special orders for you!
DISCOUNT CODE for The Mod Squad Challenge is MSC10

For my card, I used one dog from the Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs stamp set, Newton Nook’s Happy Little Thoughts for the sentiment, Kat’s Scrappiness Wonky Stitching Nesting dies and Kat Scrappiness Silver City sequin mix.  All these items are available at the Kat Scrappiness store!

The Second Sponsor is Sparkle N Sprinkle

Be sure to check them out - they have FREE SHIPPING! Their stamps are made right here in Florida and they make their own awesome glitter!

I used patterned paper from my stash and Spectrum Noir markers to color the dog and to make the pink and black background on the border panel.  I added a small sequin at every point where the wonky stitched lines crossed and one for the sweet dog's tag.  Lastly I added Wink of Stella on the dog’s eyes, collar, and the wreath bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you can join in the fun over at The Mod Squad Challenge this week!

  1. I love the card you created. That is such a cute doggie image. I think I might have to get it for my card making too. I have a question for you too about the Mod Squad Challenge. I used a Penny Black image and I see that is one of the vendors that Kat Scrappiness has listed. Can one use MSC in front even if it is not an image sold by her? I did my first card since I had my surgery and even though it was done in spurts it felt so good to be creative again.

    1. Ok Verna, since I am new to the DT at MSC, I asked and found out for sure - it has to be a product that the store carries in order to add the MSC to the front of your entry. Thanks so much for clearing this up for everyone!
