On my morning walk this morning (Saturday) there were lots of garage sale signs. So I stopped by one, nothing, then I tried one more and I hit the jackpot! A lady was selling Close to My Heart stamps sets. There were 17 in all, so I asked her husband how much they were (she was inside). He said, I don't even know what those are....I told him - stamps. He went in to ask her and she said $2 each. Well, of course, I had no $ with me - I was on a walk! I told them I lived in the neighborhood and would walk home and come back to buy them, would they save them for me? And also, since I am buying them all, can you ask your wife if she will sell all for one set price instead of $2 each?
I walked home, grabbed $34 and drove back over there. This time, she was out there and she said, how about $25 for all of them? I said, you've got a deal. She even threw in a book that has a CD with it. Nice!
OMG, I can't believe I got so many stamp sets for so cheap! Here's some close up pictures so you can see my haul!
Here's my first card with one of the sets:
Flowers and doodles are from one of the CTMH sets, the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, paper smooches dots dies and navy and white cardstack from my stash. Greeting and center of flowers are heat embossed with clear embossing powder for some shine.
