Hello and welcome! I'm over on the Joy Clair blog today with two cards featuring the newly released stamp sets: Joy Clair Love Languages and Joy Clair Get Well Wishes
For my first card I inked a Valentine embossing folder with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in soft pink and ran it through my Big Shot. You can see in the picture below the embossed pink background and the debossed white arrows and hearts. It looks really neat up close!
Then I stamped all of the "I Love You' sentiments in all the languages with my Misti on the pink embossed panel. I wasn't sure which one I wanted to use so I stamped 6 of them so I would have them for other cards too!
Then I stamped all of the "I Love You' sentiments in all the languages with my Misti on the pink embossed panel. I wasn't sure which one I wanted to use so I stamped 6 of them so I would have them for other cards too!
I used some curved border dies from Happy Little Stampers and cut each sentiment in unique shapes and then decided which one I wanted to use. I picked the Italian "Ti Amo" sentiment, of course, because I am 100% Italian! I love this set because it has so many ways to say "I Love You!" I think my Italian family will love getting cards with this sentiment and plan to use this one a lot! I also know a few families that would love the other languages and will be using them in the near future.
I cut some little hearts from a strip of hearts made with a Paper Smooches die in pink and used 3 of them on my card along with some dotted ribbon from May Arts. This dotted ribbon from is my favorite so I bought a large roll of it to use in my crafting.
After choosing where I wanted to put the 3 hearts, I added sparkle pen and Glossy Accents to them for some added shine. I took another piece of white card stock and embossed it without adding ink, then took that panel, lined up the arrow and hearts with the pink piece to give it a uniform look.
Here's a closer look my finished card:
For my 2nd card I used Joy Clair Get Well Wishes - this set is so adorable!
I knew the minute I saw it I would really enjoy creating with it.
I knew the minute I saw it I would really enjoy creating with it.
I took the brand new stamp set - Joy Clair Get Well Wishes and stamped the kitties and the sun in Memento Tuxedo black ink, then fussy cut them out and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.
I took another 4.25" by 5.5" piece of card stock and a Sizzix circle die and cut out the center circle. I used Distress inks in blues and greens and a blending tool to make the background scene, added the sentiments & birds.
I cut a cork circle frame using 2 of the Sizzix circle dies and added it to the top panel. The cork is card stock from Tim Holtz in a package called: Textured Surfaces. The top panel was adhered to the card with 2 layers of foam tape so I could set the inked circle inside the deep opening.
I took a piece of twine from my stash and two little clothes pins and made a "rope line" for the cats to hang from. I adhered the clothes pins with Glossy Accents and also used that to add the twine inside the clothes pins. Then I used more Glossy Accents to adhere the kitties paws to the rope. They are only attached by their paws so they actually swing around when you move the card. That's why I used 2 layers of fun foam so there is lots of room for the cats to swing and move in the circle.

I plan to send this to a family member very soon and I hope it brings them much joy along with helping them know that they are prayed for regularly!
