Just Us Girls Photo Challenge #520

Hello and welcome to a brand new challenge at Just Us Girls!
It's Photo Week and Vicki is our host.  Here's the photo she has chosen:

Check out the designs by our January guests Hannelie Bester and Mary Deatherage along with the whole design team on the JUGS blog - I'm sure you will find inspiration from everyone's creations!

I was really struck from the berry and purple colors in the butterflies so I decided to use that for my inspiration.  Here's a closer look at my card:

I used an embossing folder on the white background and after die cutting the wildflowers, I added some markers, shimmer and Nuvo drops for interest and dimension.  The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio.   I have linked my supplies below if you are interested in any of them.

I hope you will have time to join us this week and I can't wait to see what you make!
Be sure to stop by the JUGS blog for all the details and link up your creation there!

Thanks for stopping by!

I have used affiliate links in my post, what does this mean? If you click on the blue links, not the photos, below and shop from them, I will receive a small commission from the sale which is no additional cost to you but compensates me for using the product and my time. Thanks so much!

Fun Creations with Joy Clair Stamps

Hello and welcome!  I'm up on the Joy Clair blog today with a few creations for you.

First I have another Valentine's Day card made with Joy Clair's "Best Buds" and Everyday Sentiments Stamp sets.  I also used dotted square dies, twine, a star hole punch, a large rectangle die and an embossing folder from Darice with Simon Says dye ink.

For complete directions on how I made this card, go to the Joy Clair Blog post.

Here's a closer look at my sweet kitties Valentine's Day card:

Here's my 2nd project for today:
For my 2nd card I used Joy Clair "Scriptures of Love" for the sentiment and Joy Clair "Saved By Grace" for the images. I have a details on how I made this card HERE.

  Here's a closer look:

I also added a lot of white gel pen and below you can see the glossy accents on the heart.

I have linked my supplies below.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects using Joy Clair stamps today.  Be sure to check out all the stamp in the Joy Clair store, there are so many awesome sets including Bible Journaling sets called "Color By Faith."  Both the stamp sets I used for my second card are actually from the "Color By Faith" Bible Journaling line, but as you can see, they work great for cards too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful with Graciellie Design's Tea-rific Digital Stamp

Hello and welcome!

I made a card from the coloring I posted on my blog earlier today.
I was fortunate to get to take the online class below with Kathy Racoosin teaching her amazing tricks for coloring.  I learned so much and will be practicing those techniques to try to improve.

It's a wonderful class and if you are thinking about taking it, let me encourage you - it's awesome!
Here's the link to sign up:  Coloring Challenge Road Trip

Earlier today I shared 2 versions of the same digital stamp, top one colored before Christmas and the bottom one colored today, experimenting with some of the techniques taught in the class.

This image is from Graciellie Design called Tea-lightful, which is a lovely set and the sentiment above it is from another digital set called Think Positive.  Graciellie Design has so many gorgeous digital stamps that you can download as soon as you purchase them and begin practicing your coloring.  If you have not used digital stamps before, let me tell you, you are missing out.

Print them on a regular printer on 80 lb or lighter card stock and you can use alcohol markers on it as soon as it's dry.  If you have a laser printer, you can use watercolors such as Zig Clean Color markers, etc. on those toner printed images.  (If you don't have a laser printer that uses toner, you can take the printed images to a copy business and they will make toner copies.)

Here's a close up picture of my coloring.  I added white gel pen accents to it before I made the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thanks to Gracie Chavez of Graciellie Design for providing this class for her design team, which I am blessed to serve on.

I will enter this in:
