The Coloring Challenge Road Trip - Online Coloring Class

Hello and welcome!

I wanted to share my first attempt at applying some of the techniques I learned in this class, taught by the amazing Kathy Racoosin. Thanks to Gracie Chavez of Graciellie Design for providing this class for her design team, which I am blessed to serve on.

It's a wonderful class and if you are thinking about taking it, let me encourage you - it's awesome!
Here's the link to sign up:  Coloring Challenge Road Trip

I wanted to share 2 versions of the same digital stamp, top one colored before Christmas and the bottom one colored today, experimenting with some of the techniques taught in the class.

This image is from Graciellie Design called Tea-lightful, which is a lovely set and the sentiment above it is from another digital set called Think Positive.  Graciellie Design has so many gorgeous digital stamps that you can download as soon as you purchase them and begin practicing your coloring.  If you have not used digital stamps before, let me tell you, you are missing out.

Print them on a regular printer on 80 lb or lighter card stock and you can use alcohol markers on it as soon as it's dry.  If you have a laser printer, you can use watercolors such as Zig Clean Color markers, etc. on those toner printed images.  (If you don't have a laser printer that uses toner, you can take the printed images to a copy business and they will make toner copies.)

I will be making this image and sentiment into a card and will post it here on my blog in the near future!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Check out the designs by our January guests Hannelie Bester and Mary Deatherage along with the whole design team on the JUGS blog - I'm sure you will find inspiration from everyone's creations!

For my card I used the smooshing technique with Distress Oxide inks and then stamped images and the sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio.
I have linked all my supplies below.

Here are two closer views of the card:

Use Your Smile with Graciellie Design Sweet Memories & Strong and Courageous

Hello and welcome!

I have been playing with the brand newly released digital stamp set Graciellie Design
called "Sweet Memories."  I combined the vintage photo frame with the roses from the "Strong & Courageous" set also by Graciellie Design.

I printed the images on some plaid paper from Papertrey Ink and then used Zig Clean Color Markers to color the roses, leaves and border of the frame.  I cut the photo frame out and the added it to a white card base.  Then I took a matching paper but with polka dots and cut a frame for the edge of the card.  Lastly I added a few red Nuvo drops.

Here's a closer look at my card!

I have linked my other supplies below if you are interested.
If you'd like to see the digital stamp sets, click on the blue links of their names in the first paragraph.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #176 - Frosty

Hello and welcome!

Happy New Year from Addicted to CAS Challenges!
We are off to a fun start this year with a challenge hosted by Stephanie and her theme is:

For my card I used Joy Clair stamp set along with dies from Newton's Nook and Happy Little Stampers (retired stitched hillside dies.)
The frost on the snow and trees was created with Stampin' Up Irridencent Ice embossing powder.
And the little snowman was colored with Zig Clean Color Markers.
The trees were made from a panel that was sprayed heavily with lot of Distress Oxide ink sprays, before die cut.  I popped the guy and the small tree up on foam tape for some interest.
(I used way too many Distress Ink sprays and got a very weird colored panel and almost threw it away, but I kept it.  I'm glad I did because it made some interesting looking winter trees!)

Here's a closer look:

I can't wait to see what you make - be sure to keep it clean and simple and link it up
