Color Palette
Colorful card made with stamps from Gina K Designs "Art from the Heart" set, Mini splatter from Your Next Stamp, another splatter from Simon Says "Look for the Miracles". The patterned paper came from the Simon Says set.
Other supplies used were washi tape, memento markers, and glitter pens.
(For the sentiment, I used my Misti to first stamp each word in a different color, then slightly shifted the card stock and restamped it off center a little in black so the shadow appears in multiple colors.)
I entered it in a challenge, but didn't read the instructions correctly, it was supposed to be one layer - this is VERY far from being one layer! Oops!
Happy Birthday

Don't Mess With Texas
In the cave today and decided to make one more Texas card with my new set from a2zscrapbooking store. It's called Kelly's Texas from Hero Arts CL972 and has lots of cool Texas stamps. One in the set I probably will never use (it's a longhorn) and since my 3 kids all went to Texas A&M, no longhorns around here! JK!
I stamps the stamps on white card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed in clear, then masked off the parts of the Texas flag and inked in the flag colors. I added two circles from a die (from MFT), one from vellum and one from white card stock, put them together, stamped the sentiment then added little stars and twine from my stash. Mounted it all on a navy panel, then a Kraft card base. Entering this in the following challenges:

Greetings From Texas
I've had fun today playing in the cave with my new Hero Arts Kelly's Texas CL972 stamp set!
Here' s how I made these two cards. I used my Misti to stamp the state and greetings, then took my T-ruler and divided the state into 3 parts to simulate the Texas flag. I used Zig Clean Color Markers and some Picket Fence distress ink to color the state and added a small die cut heart on the left side. I tied twine at the top in a bow and then layered the top kraft panel on red, white and blue cardstock.
If you are interested in this stamp set, head over to the a2zscrapbooking store and pick up one. I just checked and they sold out! But more are on the way and there is another really cool Texas stamp in the store too: HERE. I made a few cards with that stamp, I included them in this post at the end.
Don't forget to use the code Angie15 to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more, excluding shipping. And if there is a craft supply you need and don't see it in the store, even from a different company, you can special order it by clicking on the "Request Custom Order" button.
Happy Saturday!

Love & Prayers & Scoring
This card was inspired by the MIUM Challenge over at StampTV to use scoring on your card. It's hard to see but there are 4 scored vertical and 4 scored horizontal lines on the right and the bottom of the black layer. Supplies used were all from GKD, except a piece of vellum (over the patterned paper to soften the look) and 2 dies.
GKD Sending Love sentiment, GKD Sending Love Patterned Paper, GKD card stock
& Frantic Stamper Scribbled Roses die and Avery Elle pinked edge rectangle die.
If you scroll down you can see the scoring better on the last picture.
Thanks for stopping by!
