Polka dot Kindness

I really struggle with CAS cards.  I can't seem to get the hang of it. Mine always look plain so I keep adding elements. I look at other CAS cards and think wow that's pretty.  My only successful CAS cards are CASED ones!  Haha!  This one started with just the cup and sentiment....before you know it I've added washi tapes then some embossing, then more washi tape and a die cut border.  I should take a CAS class so maybe I could get that balanced look on my card that all those pro card makers out there do!

Supplies used:
White cardstock, washi tape in teal and orange, markers in teal, and navy for cup and saucer, brown for coffee and gray for steam and shading below cup. Stamps from Fiskars Latte Love set, bottom front cut with Avery Elle Dotted border die, We R Memories Next Generation embossing folder.

Warm Wishes Bear

I had so much fun making this card today!  I used so many different companies products and I think it worked out kind of cute!  First I copied from this post I saw from Suzanne Warm Winter Critters where she added sweaters to the critters!  So cute so I followed her directions and added a sweater and pants to the little bear from Lawn Fawn's Party Animals.  (the balloon is from Lawn Fawn too)

The borders on the bottom are cut with pretty dies from Avery Elle Dotted Borders.  Snowflake dies are from both Cheery Lynn Designs and Memory Box.  (I cut some of the CLD's ones to make them smaller.  (A dear friend of mine sent me a Christmas card in December with lots of CLD's die cuts to play with - what a sweet idea!)

I used white and dark gray cardstock along with some patterned paper in a light gray.  The patterned paper in the background is from my stash and had snowflakes on it, but I added Wink of Stella on them for shine and then added the die cut snowflakes topping them with Wink of Stella too.  Snowflakes border on inside is washi tape from Tim Holtz.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things Hand Lettered Holiday and is heat embossed in white.  Entering this in the following challenges:

Ombré Congrats

Back crafting and its wonderful!!!  Made this ombré Congrats card for a friend using Hero Arts Ombre ink, sponge dauber, banner die cut and edge stamp from Sizzix Echo Park For the Record 2 set, glitter, paper, (added Ombre strips on all four sides of the center panel to frame the rectangle, and die cut 3 Tiny Twine Bow's from Waffle Flower die out of gold metallic paper made embossed with glitter too! The sentiment is a clear stamp from a set that had no name on it, I curved it to fit the arch of the banner before stamping it.  This was a fun card to make and I ended up with green fingers!

Merriest Wishes

Holiday card made for CAS Colours and Sketches 154 Challenge which was to use any sketch from their 2015 Challenges.  I chose #147 for my entry.  First I used a mask over the card base to color and stamp the tree on the left.  Then I masked the first tree with masking paper and scooted the tree over to the right to color and stamp the second tree to make it look as though it was behind the first tree.  Sentiment is Hero Arts and left tree floral is also Hero Arts.  Tree on right was stamped with tiny stamp from My Favorite Things Handlettered Holiday.  Used distress inks in green and red for trees and distress ink applicator. Cards base is Kraft and thin black strips are cardstock also.  Clear tiny sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

And StampTV weekly challenge to make a quick and easy Thank You note or tag.  The reason this is so quick and easy is I always have some dies already cut out and I also make extra gold embossed pages when I have my supplies out so I'll have some shiny paper when I need it!
