Just a Note - Vintage sheet music



This is for the 

1). Simon Says Monday "Use special paper" Challenge:


2). CropStop Anything Goes Challenge: 


Used vintage sheet music from the 1920's sprayed with Goosebumps spray and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Oval die is Sizzix, sentiment die and border stamp is from Hero Arts Stamp and Cut set DC139.  The "Just a Note" stamp is from Simon Says Music to my Ears set.  Sentiment is mounted on thick foam for dimension. Note die is cut from foam and is by CAS-ual Fridays Fri-dies. Black and ivory cardstock from my stash. Little eighth note are punched with mini Recollections punch out of black cardstock backed with Stick-It.

Gold Thinking of You



Used Distress inks in Shabby Shutters and Milled Lavender using the smooshing technique for the background. Layered on black, then on white that I inked the edges (shabby shutters) on, then on a white card base. Flowers are from GKD Flowers and Frames 2 and embossed with fnd detail gold EP. Sentiment is Hero Arts.

Get Well Soon




"Get Well Soon"sentiment from GKD Assorted Greetings set done in fine detail silver EP. Butterflies from GKD Fight Like a Girl set heat embossed with WOW navy EP. On the card the butterflies stamped and embossed on vellum are colored on the back with markers in shades of blue. Vellum is placed on white cardstock that was inked with seedless preserves distress ink over a Tim Holtz stencil. Envelope has heat embossed butterflies in navy EP. Embellishments are rainstones from Papertrey Ink. Card stock is GKD white and lovely lavender. Navy CS is from my stash. We all wish your mom a speedy recovery Gina!   Entering this in:

So now I get to be a "guest designer" for their blog in August!  I've never done that before - hope I can come up with a good design!  I've had so much fun learning to paper craft - and so thankful for all the kind and helpful people who have helped me learn new techniques!

Tears



This card was made with GKD stamps, the floral pattern is the top part of a vase of flowers stamp from the Friendship Blooms set and the sentiment is from a GKD stamp duo, Don't Lose Hope.  Front panel was masked off and stamped with floral stamp, then inked.  Mask was removed then front panel was embossed. Cut scalloped border in black for a frame around flowers   Used Hero Art Ombre ink and a plum ink.   Embossing done with We R Memories Next Level Embossing Folder, tear drops are rain stones from PaperTrey Ink.

On Sunday, July 12th my mother passed away after a long battle with illness.  She is finally reunited with my dad.  Our family will be celebrating her life at her services this weekend.

Recycled Vintage Sheet Music



Used vintage sheet music from the 1920's from old exercise book.  Sprayed with Goosebumps texture spray then inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Dies used are  Heart Note die from Casual Friday's,  Fri-dies, My Favorite Things stitched rectangle die, sizzix circle dies.   Sentiment and scalloped die are from Sizzix.  Entering this in:

Fast and Easy Bloom Card



 Used acrylic block to make a "Mark" on the cardstock with Memento Markers and spritz bottle to create background on white cardstock.  Added a black mat and Kraft card base.  Sentiment is from Melanie Muenchinger (illustrator for Gina K Designs) "Bloom where you're planted" from her Wild at Heart set.  Floral stamp is from a Gina K. Designs mini set called "Blossom".

Just a Note Sparkle



Just a Note card with lots of sparkle.  Just a Note and flourish dies are from Avery Elle "Just a Note Die Elements"  Stitched dies are from My Favorite Things.  Sparkles come from jelly roll glitter pen.  Background music created with torn mask, Distress Ink and music stamp (no name on it.) from my stash.

Vintage Music Sunflower


Card made with MFT dies. (Sun from "Sun, Moon & Stars) I die cut multiple layers of the sun die and stacked them to make a sunflower then bordered with fancy scalloped circle die.  Blue layer and music layer have been die cut with MFT stitched border dies.  Sentiment and scalloped circle die from Sizzix.  Background music is vintage sheet music that has been treated with Goosebumps texture spray, then inked with distress ink.  Ivory background piece has been inked with 2 shades of brown ink, then scored in trellis form with score board and score tool, then inked one last time in darker brown.  (trellis technique CASED from Gina K.
