Just Us Girls #407 - Color Week - Red Blue and Yellow

This week at Just Us Girls we have a great color challenge for you!
Be sure to check out Darnell, our guest designer's card and all the DT HERE!

I love using seasonal crafting items in off season, so I took a Valentine die and used it for a more bright, summery, happy card for one of my grandkids.

For my card I used Simon Says Stamps Floating Hearts die and cut it out of all 3 colors.
Then I pieced it back together with different sections in each color - so I actually came out with 3 total cards like this that were slightly different from each other!  The Love You is from Simon Says Stamp Thankful Heart stamps set and I finished the card with some white gel pen dots and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen on the yellow hearts!
Here's a close up view!

Hope you can play along!  If you win Chic of the Week in any of our August challenges, you are in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of October.
We can't wait to see what you create for Just Us Girls!

Two Christmas Merry On Cards

Hi and welcome to my blog!  I made two almost identical cards for my holiday stash.  Both use this new to me stamp/die set from Hampton Art.  I cut an extra from fun foam to pop the white one on for more dimension.  I used kraft & white card stock along with some red and black patterned paper from my stash.  The circles were cut with a variety of circle dies from my stash.

Here they are individually:

Coffee Makes You Sharper

Hi, and welcome to my blog!  I played some more with the Newton's Nook's "Cuppa Cactus" set and my Prismacolor pencils to make this card in the colors of the CAS Colours & Sketches #236 Challenge.  I also used a dotted edge die from Poppy Stamps, card stock from Gina K Designs and Recollections, washi tape, and some clear Nuvo drops.  I'm not sure with all those layers in the top right corner if this is CAS enough-it does have a lot of white showing so I'm saying it's sorta CAS!

Now it's on to holiday cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your week has been great so far!

Two Copper Laminate Fall Cards

My last cards for the day were made with the MIUM Challenge over at Stamp TV in mind.  I haven't entered in a while as a few weeks ago, I accidentally deleted my whole account....not sure how I did that, but I was trying to delete some pictures and I deleted everything!  So I had to start over, bummer.....
Anyway the challenge this week is "Leaf me Alone" hosted by Chris Dayton.

For this first card I used the sentiment from Gina K Designs Your Own Kind of Beautiful stamp set, heat embossed in black on  light tan card stock, matted in black card stock.  Both the center panel and main panel were embossed with a Darice leaf embossing folder, the back panel is the de-bossed side of the folder and the copper laminate is embossed side.  I also used some dies from Sizzix and My Favorite Things.

For my 2nd fall card, I used leaf stamps and a sentiment from Gina K Designs Autumn Wishes stamp set.  I stamped them in Tea Dye for the background and the sentiment in black.  I cut strips of the copper laminate and used them to outline the center of the card.  I cut the panel down and adhered it to a brown card base.

Prickly Before Coffee - Stripes

My second card today for the CASology Prickly Challenge and this time I used the colors from The Paper Players Challenge #357.

I stamped the image and sentiment from Newton's Nook's "Cuppa Joe" set and colored it with Prismacolor Pencils.  I trimmed down the top panel and added it to a card base that had striped washi tape on either side, then added a few Nuvo glitter drops and some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the cactus.   Fast and easy card, once the coloring was done!   Thanks so much for dropping by!

Prickly Before My Coffee - Tan

Playing in the cave today - yippee!

I used Newton's Nook stamp set and die set called "Cuppa Cactus to make this card for the CASology Prickly and the Cupcake Inspirations Colors (green white and orange) Challenges.  They were colored with both Prismacolor pencils and Spectrum Noir markers.  One was adhered to the chocolate malt card base and the other was popped up on foam dots.  I added a cute orange gum drop to the center of the flower and added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the cactus.
